Responsibilities
- Formulate new natural cosmetic products (skincare, haircare, and body care) from initial concept to commercial launch.
- Conduct rigorous stability, compatibility, and efficacy testing on raw materials and finished formulations.
- Scale-up laboratory batches to pilot and production scales while ensuring consistency and quality.
- Ensure all products comply with BPOM regulations, Halal certification requirements, and international cosmetic standards.
- Source and evaluate novel natural ingredients, including herbal extracts, essential oils, and active botanicals.
- Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to create compelling product narratives based on ingredient efficacy and provenance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all R&D activities, formulation trials, and batch records.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by researching emerging natural ingredients and green chemistry innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Apoteker), Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in natural cosmetics formulation within an R&D environment.
- Deep understanding of natural preservatives, emulsifiers, surfactants, and active botanical ingredients.
- Proven experience with BPOM product registration, Halal certification, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic regulations and quality control processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken).
