Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Group's Quality Management System (QMS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across all hospitals and medical centres.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with MSQH, JCI, ISO 9001, and other relevant healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Drive patient safety initiatives by managing incident reporting systems, facilitating Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and tracking the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Analyse clinical and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for quality improvement (QI) projects, presenting insights to the senior leadership team.
  • Facilitate the development and delivery of training programmes on quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety for staff at all levels.
  • Manage the document control system, ensuring all policies, procedures, and work instructions are current, standardised, and accessible.
  • Serve as a key liaison with regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and insurance partners on matters pertaining to risk, quality, and governance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for the Group Risk & Quality committee and Board meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Medicine, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in Healthcare Management or Quality Management is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of working experience in a healthcare quality, risk management, or patient safety role, preferably within a hospital or healthcare group setting.
  • Professional certification in Healthcare Quality (e.g., CPHQ), Risk Management, or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian Healthcare Accreditation Standards (MSQH) and international standards such as JCI.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and quality improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data management and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to work independently while driving cross-functional collaboration.
