Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate deck crew members in daily maintenance and repair activities
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of deck equipment including winches, cranes, and mooring systems
- Inspect and maintain deck machinery, rigging, and other equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Assist in cargo handling operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to deck crew based on operational requirements
- Monitor inventory and requisition necessary supplies for deck operations
- Train deck crew in proper safety procedures and operational techniques
- Report vessel conditions and maintenance needs to the Chief Officer
Qualifications
- Certification as Bosun or equivalent maritime qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in deck operations on offshore support vessels
- Strong knowledge of maritime safety regulations and procedures
- Experience with deck machinery maintenance and repair
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Good physical condition and ability to work in challenging maritime environments
- Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Valid seafarer's medical certificate and required certifications
