Are you ready to lead critical operations in one of Southeast Asia's most strategic data center hubs? JLL is seeking an accomplished Critical Facilities Manager to oversee our premier data center campus in Sedenak, Johor.
As a key leader within our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team, you will be entrusted with the operational excellence, safety, and 100% uptime of a world-class critical facility. You will lead a talented team of engineers and technicians, manage complex vendor ecosystems, and partner directly with our prestigious client to drive innovation and reliability.
This role goes beyond traditional facilities management. It demands a strategic thinker who can optimize energy usage, manage substantial budgets, implement best-in-class maintenance programs (MOP/SOP/EOP), and mitigate operational risk. Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-disciplinary team of facility managers, engineers, and technicians to achieve operational KPIs.
- Oversee all aspects of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, Electrical (UPS/Generators/Switchgear), Fire Suppression, BMS, EPMS, and Security Systems.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and Emergency Response Plans (EOPs).
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, reducing costs while maintaining maximum reliability.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets (OPEX) and support capital project planning (CAPEX).
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, providing regular reporting on site performance, risk, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure full compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and JLL's global policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in critical environment management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep technical knowledge of critical infrastructure systems in a data center or similar environment.
- Proven experience managing MOP, SOP, and EOP in a Tier III / Tier IV facility.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and capital budgeting.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CEM, PMP, LEED AP) are highly preferred.
- A valid local driving license and right to work in Malaysia.
