Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full spectrum of the finance and accounting functions, including month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Oversee daily administrative operations and ensure all corporate support functions are aligned with company objectives.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to maintain the company's financial health.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax filings (SST/Corporate Tax) and local labor laws.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and bankers to ensure smooth financial governance.
- Implement and improve internal control systems to safeguard company assets and optimize operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial advice and data-driven insights to the management team to support business growth.
- Supervise and mentor the finance and admin staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA).
- Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Solid knowledge of Malaysian Accounting Standards (MPERS/MFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in an 'urgent' environment.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
