Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the facility.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to shipping schedules.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and updating records.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
- Assist in organizing and reorganizing storage areas for maximum efficiency.
- Keep work area clean and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
