We are currently seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Import Sourcing Executive to join our procurement team in Balong Bendo, Sidoarjo. This role is pivotal in maintaining our supply chain excellence, focusing specifically on the global procurement of specialized chemical raw materials.
As an Import Sourcing Executive, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle—from identifying high-quality international suppliers to navigating the complexities of Indonesian import regulations. You will play a key role in cost optimization, quality assurance, and maintaining the flow of materials essential for our production processes. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the chemical market and has the technical proficiency to manage international logistics and vendor relationships effectively.

Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable international suppliers for various chemical raw materials.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and supply stability.
- Manage end-to-end import documentation, including Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, and Certificates of Analysis.
- Coordinate closely with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods.
- Monitor global market trends and price fluctuations in the chemical industry to inform purchasing strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian import regulations, including HS Code classification and specific chemical permits (Lartas).
- Collaborate with the Quality Control and Production departments to ensure raw materials meet technical specifications.
- Maintain and update the procurement database and supplier performance records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, International Trade, or Business Management.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in import sourcing, specifically within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Incoterms 2020, shipping procedures, and Indonesian customs regulations.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with international principals and vendors.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is mandatory for professional correspondence.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP procurement modules.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Willingness to be based in Balong Bendo, Sidoarjo, East Java.
