Responsibilities
- Process customer payments accurately using cash, credit/debit cards, and digital wallets.
- Operate and maintain the POS system, ensuring timely and error-free transactions.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Balance cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, reporting discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking of consumables near the register.
- Follow company policies regarding refunds, exchanges, and promotional applications.
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in retail or hospitality is a plus.
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer-facing role, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
