Responsibilities
- Perform washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens and uniforms according to government standards and protocols.
- Operate industrial laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, and ironing presses, ensuring safe usage.
- Inspect garments for stains and damage; perform pre-treatment and stain removal procedures.
- Sort, count, and organize washed items to ensure accurate inventory and timely distribution to departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free laundry facility and storage areas.
- Monitor chemical usage and ensure proper disposal of cleaning agents and waste water.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations regarding chemical handling and workplace cleanliness.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Vocational Certificate in Laundry Technology or related field.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a commercial or institutional laundry setting.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks, including standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals, stain removal techniques, and fabric care.
- Ability to read and follow basic instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
