Join the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) as a Manager/Senior Manager, Communications, where you will spearhead the communication strategy for the Health and Human Potential (HHP) Joint Planning and Coordination initiative. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated communication strategies for the HHP Joint Planning and Coordination program.
- Act as the primary liaison between A*STAR, government bodies, research institutions, and industry partners.
- Craft press releases, media kits, and spokesperson briefings to secure positive media coverage.
- Design and manage public engagement campaigns, including webinars, town halls, and outreach events.
- Monitor and analyze communication performance using metrics and stakeholder feedback.
- Lead crisis communication planning and response to protect organizational reputation.
- Oversee content creation for websites, social media, newsletters, and internal communications.
- Provide counsel on data privacy, ethical communication, and regulatory compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in strategic communications, preferably in healthcare, biotechnology, or government sectors.
- Proven track record in media relations, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
- Experience managing digital communication channels and utilizing analytics tools for performance measurement.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with comfort speaking to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA), and ethical considerations in data use.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
