Job Description

Google is seeking a results-driven Performance Marketing Manager for Google Workspace in JAPAC. In this strategic role, you will own the performance marketing framework across JAPAC markets, driving growth through data-driven campaigns that accelerate user acquisition, activation, and retention. You will partner with product management, sales, analytics, and regional marketing teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with product launches and business goals while upholding the Google brand.

As the JAPAC lead for Workspace performance marketing, you will design and execute multi-channel programs across search, display, video, social, and programmatic channels. You will build a rigorous measurement plan, create attribution models, and optimize campaigns based on ROI, CPA, LTV, and other key metrics. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and vendor relationships, ensuring efficient spend and sustainable growth across diverse markets.

You will lead experimentation with a strong emphasis on rapid learning—A/B tests, audience experiments, creative testing, and landing-page optimization. You will synthesize data into clear, influential recommendations for stakeholders, and present results to regional and global leadership. The role requires excellent cross-functional collaboration and the ability to balance local market nuances with a unified Google Workspace value proposition.

Ideal candidates will have a track record of scaling performance marketing programs in tech or SaaS environments, experience with Google Marketing Platform and GA4, and a deep curiosity about data-driven storytelling. If you enjoy solving complex growth challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role offers significant impact and career growth within Google.

You will also mentor junior marketers, contribute to regional go-to-market strategies, and help shape best-practice processes for measurement, creative testing, and budget governance. This is a high-visibility role that offers the chance to influence Workspace adoption across multiple markets while advancing Google's reputation as a leader in productivity software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the JAPAC performance marketing strategy for Google Workspace, defining objectives, budgets, channels, and success metrics across multiple markets.
  • Own end-to-end campaign management from ideation to execution, optimization, and scaling for demand generation and activation.
  • Partner with Product, Analytics, Sales, and regional teams to align campaigns with product launches, promotions, and regional events.
  • Manage multi-channel campaigns across Google Ads, YouTube, Display, Social, and programmatic channels; optimize bids, targeting, and creative assets for maximum ROI.
  • Develop and maintain robust measurement frameworks, attribution models, and dashboards to track performance, ROI, and CAC across JAPAC.
  • Lead testing and experimentation (A/B and multivariate), translating results into actionable optimization and scalable playbooks.
  • Forecast spend, manage budgets, negotiate media deals with partners and agencies, and ensure compliance with regional regulations and brand guidelines.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to regional and global leadership, influencing product marketing decisions and regional GTM strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of performance marketing experience in tech, SaaS, or enterprise environments, with a track record of driving ROAS in JAPAC or global markets.
  • Hands-on expertise with Google Marketing Platform, GA4, Google Ads, Display & Video 360; strong data analytics and attribution experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build dashboards, run experiments, and translate data into actionable business insights; proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders across geographies and levels.
  • Experience managing large budgets, forecasting, and vendor relationships; strong negotiation and project-management capabilities.
