Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a highly productive, independent research program focused on key areas within Immunology and/or Inflammation.
- Secure competitive research grants from national and international funding bodies to support ongoing and new research initiatives.
- Design, execute, and oversee innovative experimental strategies and projects using state-of-the-art technologies.
- Publish original research findings in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and present at international conferences.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of talented research scientists, postdocs, and students, fostering their professional growth.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic collaborations with clinicians, industry partners, and other research institutions, both locally and globally.
- Actively contribute to the scientific strategy and intellectual life of SIgN and A*STAR.
- Manage laboratory resources, budget, and ensure compliance with safety and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related biomedical science field.
- Extensive postdoctoral research experience demonstrating increasing levels of independence and scientific leadership.
- A distinguished record of high-impact publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven success in securing significant competitive research grants as a Principal Investigator or co-Investigator.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and lead an independent research group, including effective mentorship and team management.
- Deep expertise in relevant experimental techniques and methodologies applicable to immunology and inflammation research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, essential for fostering internal and external partnerships.
