Responsibilities

  • Lead the research and development of new product formulations from concept to final approval.
  • Coordinate and execute pilot plant trials and factory scale-up processes to ensure production feasibility.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer preference tests to refine product profiles.
  • Perform stability and shelf-life testing to ensure product safety and quality throughout its lifecycle.
  • Sourcing and evaluating new ingredients and raw materials from vendors for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all new and existing products comply with HALAL, HACCP, and Malaysian Food Regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of recipes, manufacturing instructions, and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to identify market trends and translate them into product opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in R&D or Product Development within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food ingredient functionality, preservation techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Proven experience navigating HALAL and HACCP certification processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy in trial documentation.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical challenges.
