Pilar Ekatama is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and HVAC projects across Surabaya and greater Jawa Timur. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex construction initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, driving collaboration and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor MEP & HVAC project scopes, schedules, and budgets from inception to handover.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design integrity and constructability.
- Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and enforce health, safety, and quality standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, vendor evaluation, and contract administration.
- Identify risks and issues early, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing MEP and/or HVAC projects in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC design principles, installation methods, and testing & commissioning procedures.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) and cost estimation software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Indonesian construction regulations, safety standards (K3), and quality management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
- Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus.
