Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management for FMCG products and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate product alternatives, and monitor industry trends to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing waste and avoiding stock-outs.
- Resolve any issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery in a timely and effective manner.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and provide regular reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and savings achieved.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- For Junior role: 1-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- For Senior role: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and vendor management in FMCG.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for market analysis, cost control, and contract review.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, import/export procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements in Singapore is a plus.
