About the Role

Vanguard Interiors, a premier interior fit-out and construction firm based in Singapore, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team in the Central Region.

In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of the financial and contractual aspects of a diverse portfolio of high-profile interior fit-out and construction projects. From initial tender through to final account settlement, you will ensure that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project costing, including budget preparation, cost monitoring, and final account settlement.
• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates for a variety of high-profile interior fit-out projects.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations and contracts to ensure optimal value and compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits to perform measurements, verify work progress, and validate payment claims.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports, cash flow projections, and variance analysis to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and financial risks through proactive value engineering and cost control measures.
• Oversee procurement processes, ensuring materials and services are sourced competitively and within budget.
• Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore's construction laws, contracts (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC), and standard measurement practices.
• Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn with a commitment to professional development.
