Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with an assigned portfolio of direct corporate and Japanese corporate clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate segment to expand MSIG's market share and achieve sales targets.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and propose comprehensive general insurance solutions tailored to clients' specific requirements.
- Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and other internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate terms, and secure renewals for existing accounts efficiently.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights and maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in corporate sales, account management, or business development within the general insurance industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing direct corporate clients, with a distinct advantage for those having exposure to Japanese corporate accounts.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Japanese (verbal and written) is a significant advantage to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking clients.
- Strong understanding of various general insurance products (e.g., Property, Casualty, Marine, Employee Benefits) and underwriting principles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Relevant insurance certifications (e.g., ComGI, BCP, HI, CGI) are highly desirable.
