Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture a dedicated portfolio of merchant accounts in the Sungai Petani region to ensure long-term partnership retention.
- Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for new merchants, including terminal installation, system configuration, and user training.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting and operational inquiries related to POS systems and payment gateways.
- Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell Aeon Credit financial products and merchant-exclusive solutions to drive revenue growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with merchants to analyze transaction trends and provide strategic recommendations for business improvement.
- Collaborate with the regional sales team to execute localized marketing campaigns and merchant loyalty programs.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies regarding merchant documentation and risk management.
- Prepare and present detailed monthly reports on merchant activity, market feedback, and competitor landscape to senior management.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in merchant services, retail banking, or financial solution sales.
- Solid understanding of credit card processing, E-wallets, and POS terminal technology.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with business owners and corporate stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; the ability to speak Mandarin or local dialects is highly advantageous.
- Possess a valid driving license and own vehicle, with a willingness to travel frequently within the Northern region.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering data-driven solutions to merchant partners.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
