Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end product design lifecycle, from user research and conceptualization to final manufacturing hand-off.
- Develop detailed design specifications, including 3D models, technical drawings, and material selection for consumer goods.
- Conduct user testing and usability studies to iterate on designs and optimize product performance.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Engineering departments to ensure design intent is maintained throughout development.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and proof-of-concept models to validate form, fit, and function.
- Analyze current market trends and competitive offerings to maintain a cutting-edge design language.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with external vendors or suppliers to ensure production quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related creative discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in consumer product development.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design thinking, user-centric research, and successful product launches.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, injection molding, and materials science.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex design decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-starter mindset in a fast-paced environment.
