The Municipal Government of Bacolor, Pampanga is seeking a dedicated Social Welfare Assistant to support its social services programs in the Ilocos Region. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial interviews and assessments of applicants for social welfare programs.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of aid applications, including documentation verification.
- Maintain and update client records and case files in accordance with data privacy policies.
- Prepare periodic reports and statistical summaries for management and oversight agencies.
- Coordinate with barangay officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders to disseminate information about available services.
- Participate in community outreach activities, such as information drives and monitoring of program implementation.
- Provide administrative support to the social welfare office, including scheduling, correspondence, and office management.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines governing social assistance programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Civil Service eligibility (Sub‑Professional or Professional level) is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in social services, public administration, or a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data entry.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Good interpersonal skills and a customer‑oriented attitude when dealing with diverse clients.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area for field visits and community engagements.
