Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and ensure all utensils, plates, and cookware are cleaned to health‑code standards.
- Sort, rinse, and load items into the dishwasher, monitoring cycles for optimal performance.
- Hand‑wash delicate items that cannot be machine‑washed and store them properly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and waste disposal units.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks such as peeling vegetables or replenishing supplies when needed.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, reporting any equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely turnover of clean dishware during peak hours.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and use of non‑slip footwear.
Qualifications
- Minimum age 18; no prior experience required – training will be provided.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
- Willingness to wear the required uniform: black T‑shirt, long dark pants/jeans, and covered non‑slip shoes.
- Resident of Singapore or holder of a valid work pass.
