As part of our dedicated service team, you will collaborate with service advisors, parts specialists, and fellow technicians to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance. Your contributions will directly impact customer trust and brand loyalty, helping Cycle & Carriage maintain its reputation as a leading automotive retailer in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Leapmotor electric vehicles.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to identify electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults.
- Execute warranty work and service campaigns according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct road tests to verify vehicle performance and safety after service.
- Maintain accurate service records and update job cards in the dealership management system.
- Assist in training junior technicians and sharing best practices within the workshop.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Provide technical feedback to service advisors for accurate customer communication.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; technical certification in automotive engineering preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, preferably with electric or hybrid vehicles.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, battery management, and EV charging infrastructure.
- Proficiency with OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and service manuals.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Willingness to undergo continuous training on Leapmotor technology updates.
- Valid Malaysian driving license (Class D) is advantageous.
