Job Description

PTL Properties, a fast growing property developer in Penang, is looking for a proactive Account Assistant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail oriented, enjoy numbers, and want to contribute to accurate financial reporting and informed decision making across the business.

As an Account Assistant you will process daily financial transactions, support monthly closings, and help maintain clean, auditable ledgers. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely invoicing, accurate data entry, and reliable financial information that supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities and growth opportunities include assisting with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, preparing schedules for management reports, supporting audit and tax compliance, and helping with month end close activities. Responsibilities

  • Process daily bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist with monthly and year end closings and reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger and vendor/customer records
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow schedules
  • Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements
  • Support audit, tax, and compliance activities
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Help with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end analysis

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and good understanding of ledgers
  • Experience with ERP/Accounting Software and MS Excel advanced functions
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Familiarity with local tax rules and regulatory requirements is a bonus
