Job Description

In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial reporting and transactional processes.

You will work closely with our accounting team to manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) functions. We are looking for an individual who is not only skilled with numbers but also possesses excellent communication skills, as you will frequently liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage payments and resolve outstanding financial issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the General Ledger (GL) to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Track and process overhead expenses and ensure proper documentation.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and relevant departments to process payments and resolve billing inquiries.
  • Perform timely follow-up on outstanding payments and reconciliations.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting tasks.
  • Maintain systematic filing of all financial documents and records.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AR/AP/GL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
