As an Account Assistant, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our day-to-day financial operations. You will support the finance department with data entry, reconciliations, invoice processing, and general ledger maintenance. Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and inter-company accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, ledgers, and journals.
- Prepare and issue invoices, credit notes, and payment vouchers.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience in an accounting role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., Autocount, SQL, or UBS).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic tax regulations (SST, withholding tax) is an advantage.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player mindset.
