As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, including the processing of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Journal entries. You will work closely with the accounting team to maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and support month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and possesses strong analytical skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required. Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensure accuracy and timely payment.
- Manage accounts receivable, prepare billing and follow up on collections.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and tasks.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English.
