As an Account Executive, you will handle day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. You will also assist in tax filings, audit preparations, and implementation of internal controls. Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS/IFRS.
- Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax computations, SST returns, and corporate tax filings.
- Coordinating with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Monitor cash flow, forecast financial trends, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure proper depreciation schedules.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies to safeguard assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CIMA/CPA part-qualified or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or audit.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
