Job Description

LINACO is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join our finance team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing month-end close, and supporting daily accounting operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and precise financial reporting, while contributing to process improvements that drive efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts including general ledger, inventory, and bank reconciliation.
  • Execute month‑end closing procedures and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Assist with daily accounting functions such as journal entries, accruals, and expense processing.
  • Resolve discrepancies and investigate variances in financial records.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements as required.
  • Adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role (fresh graduates with strong academic background are welcome).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP or MFRS principles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SQL Account, UBS, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and statutory compliance is a plus.
