LINACO is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join our finance team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing month-end close, and supporting daily accounting operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and precise financial reporting, while contributing to process improvements that drive efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts including general ledger, inventory, and bank reconciliation.
- Execute monthāend closing procedures and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Assist with daily accounting functions such as journal entries, accruals, and expense processing.
- Resolve discrepancies and investigate variances in financial records.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements as required.
- Adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1ā2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role (fresh graduates with strong academic background are welcome).
- Solid understanding of GAAP or MFRS principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SQL Account, UBS, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and statutory compliance is a plus.
