Tong Hing Supermarket is currently seeking a dedicated Account & Finance Executive to join our growing finance team in Kota Kinabalu. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial health of our operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting management through precise financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling the full spectrum of Accounts Payable, navigating the new E-Invoice requirements, and assisting with treasury management. Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) process, including timely verification and payment processing.
- Ensure full compliance with LHDN E-Invoice requirements and digital documentation standards.
- Monitor daily cash flow and oversee treasury management activities to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Handle bank facility administration and coordinate with financial institutions regarding financing requirements.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and assist in month-end closing procedures.
- Maintain systematic financial records and documentation for audit and internal reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to reconcile discrepancies and streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA).
- At least 2-3 years of proven experience in accounting, finance, or general ledger management.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and recent E-Invoice compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and banking representatives.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
