Responsibilities

  • Process and verify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in general ledger reconciliation, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain vendor and customer master data and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepare invoices, expense claims, and payment requests; monitor aging and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth cash flow.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Support external audits and maintain organized documentation and filing systems.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience; exposure to accounts payable/receivable and general ledger is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting software (eg MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Malay; able to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment in Kota Kinabalu and meet deadlines.
