Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of full sets of accounts and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive management reports and financial statements in compliance with MFRS/MPERS.
- Ensure strict adherence to Malaysian tax regulations, including corporate tax computations and SST filings.
- Perform regular variance analysis and provide detailed commentary to assist stakeholders in decision-making.
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual external audit process by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Manage daily cash flow, monitor banking transactions, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Review and improve internal control procedures to ensure financial integrity and safeguard company assets.
- Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and statutory bodies to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MIA).
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar accounting capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local statutory requirements.
- High proficiency in ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
- A proactive team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
