Ibraco is seeking a motivated Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Kuching, Sarawak. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing accurate financial statements, monitoring cash flow, supporting audit activities, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper filing of financial records.
- Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, MFRS, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, MYSAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various departments.
