Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and variance reporting to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
- Handle tax compliance matters, including SST filing and corporate income tax computations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow monitoring to ensure liquidity.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement internal controls to improve financial processes and data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA membership is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of working experience in accounting or financial analysis roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL, or AutoCount).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
