Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with PFRS.
  • Ensure full compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations, including timely filing of all tax returns and attachments.
  • Manage the annual external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and budgeting support to senior management for operational decision-making.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting staff to foster professional growth.
  • Coordinate with government agencies regarding mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and other statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a valid license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; an MBA or relevant Master's degree is an advantage.
  • At least 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Solid experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, financial reporting standards (PFRS), and statutory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting to executive stakeholders.
