Negros Women For Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Staff (Taxation) to join our finance team in Bacolod City. Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns, including income tax, withholding tax, and value-added tax (VAT) in compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations
- Monitor and ensure timely payment of all tax obligations to avoid penalties and interest charges
- Maintain comprehensive records of all tax transactions and documentation for audit purposes
- Generate and analyze tax-related reports for management review and strategic planning
- Stay updated on changes in Philippine tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors during tax assessments and reviews
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure proper tax accounting treatments
- Support the accounting team in general bookkeeping tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is an advantage but not required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tax compliance or general accounting functions
- Proficient knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and filing requirements
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Filipino for internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
