Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Manage tax compliance, government reporting, and audit preparations to ensure full regulatory adherence.
- Develop and implement internal control procedures to mitigate financial risks and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and collaborate with department heads to resolve issues swiftly.
- Coordinate with international shipping and logistics partners regarding import/export cost tracking and documentation.
- Support senior management with financial forecasting and budgeting activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting supervisory or senior accounting role.
- Strong background in Philippine taxation, regulatory compliance, and BIR reporting requirements.
- Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Proven ability to work under pressure and handle multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
