Responsibilities

  • Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Handle bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support in the preparation and submission of tax returns (e.g., SST, income tax) and other statutory filings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and ensure proper coding.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar accounting role (minimum 1-2 years).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (FRS/MFRS) and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian tax regulations (SST, income tax) and payroll processes.
