Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including invoice verification, data entry, and payment scheduling.
- Handle Accounts Receivable duties, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and performing timely reconciliations.
- Prepare and process journal entries to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded in the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management statements.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for all financial documentation and correspondence.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations for transactions.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any billing discrepancies or payment inquiries.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting duties and administrative tasks as required by the finance manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE 'O' Level, Diploma in Accounting, LCCI, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience in accounts or bookkeeping.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and familiar with accounting software.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including AR/AP cycles and bank reconciliations.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality regarding financial information.
- Prior experience in a non-profit or religious organization is an added advantage.
