In this full‑time role you will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial recording, and contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual reports. You will work closely with senior accountants and cross‑functional teams to maintain compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in bookkeeping, proficiency with accounting software such as MYOB or Sage, and advanced Excel skills. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with audit preparations. Responsibilities
- Process daily accounting entries including journal vouchers, invoices, and expense claims.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Support year‑end closing activities and coordinate with external auditors.
- Maintain compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
- Generate aging reports and assist with credit control processes.
- Ad‑hoc financial analysis and support special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (MYOB, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and statutory requirements is advantageous.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
