Responsibilities
- Manage full-spectrum accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare accurate financial statements, monthly reports, and year-end closing activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management to ensure financial accuracy
- Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of departmental expenditures
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit periods and provide necessary documentation
- Maintain organized financial records and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Sage, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations (GST, SST, and income tax)
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data entry
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Professional certification (LCCI, MICPA, or ACCA) is an added advantage
- Good communication skills in English; Mandarin is a plus for stakeholder interactions
