Job Description

Hallmark Memorial Berhad is seeking a motivated Accounts Executive to join our finance team in Ipoh, Perak. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. You will work closely with senior accountants and finance managers to maintain compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and internal policies. Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly close.
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Support audit activities by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST/SST filings where applicable.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and customer payments.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and MFRS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accountright, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations is a plus.
