The successful candidate will manage a comprehensive portfolio of accounting duties, from day-to-day transaction oversight to complex month-end closing processes. We are looking for a professional who is not only technically sound in accounting principles but also possesses the leadership qualities to mentor junior staff and streamline financial workflows for maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of financial accounting functions, including AP, AR, and General Ledger.
- Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Perform complex group consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities and business units.
- Review financial data for accuracy and ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure statutory compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of junior accounts executives to maintain high performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal control systems.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a professional qualification such as ACCA/CA Singapore.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in handling full sets of accounts and group consolidation.
- Proven experience working within an MNC or a well-established corporate environment is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise across various departments and management levels.
