Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify electrical and mechanical malfunctions
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections to optimize system efficiency
- Repair or replace defective components including compressors, condensers, and thermostats
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Document service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Provide technical guidance to customers on system operation and energy efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC/refrigeration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in air conditioning systems
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, refrigeration cycles, and thermodynamics
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Valid refrigerant handling certification (e.g., EPA 608)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to work in various environments including confined spaces
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
