Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screening of transit passengers and their carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and other security equipment.
- Perform frisk searches on passengers when necessary, adhering strictly to established security protocols.
- Inspect baggage and cargo for prohibited items, dangerous goods, and potential threats.
- Monitor and interpret X-ray images with precision to identify suspicious objects.
- Enforce aviation security regulations and respond effectively to security incidents or breaches.
- Provide clear and professional instructions to passengers during the screening process to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and complete incident reports as required.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, airline staff, and other security personnel to ensure coordinated security operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE 'N' Level or equivalent qualification.
- Singaporean citizenship required due to security clearance mandates.
- Able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in a 24/7 airport environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of passengers and colleagues.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform duties that may require light lifting.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Prior experience in security or customer service is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided.
