Michael Page is seeking a dynamic and experienced AP Manager to lead our accounting and finance operations in Kuala Lumpur. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Accounts Payable function within a high-volume Shared Services environment, with a specific focus on optimizing the Travel and Expense (T&E) processes. You will ensure that all financial operations are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments.
- Oversee and streamline the Travel and Expense (T&E) process to ensure accuracy, policy compliance, and employee satisfaction.
- Lead a team of AP specialists, providing guidance, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional development.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and statutory regulations.
- Implement process improvements and automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the AP department.
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiation and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes by providing accurate AP reconciliations and reporting.
Qualifications
- Min. 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within a Shared Services or multinational corporation.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of T&E management software and AP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop junior finance staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
