As an Arborist cum Horticulturist, you will bridge the gap between tree care and broader horticultural practices. You will be responsible for conducting routine site assessments, diagnosing plant diseases, and implementing science-based solutions to ensure our landscape projects thrive. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess the overall health, structural integrity, and condition of trees and plants.
- Diagnose tree diseases, pest infestations, and nutrient deficiencies, providing actionable remediation plans.
- Supervise and execute arboricultural practices including pruning, cavity treatment, and tree surgery according to industry standards.
- Oversee horticultural maintenance schedules, including fertilization, soil improvement, and irrigation management.
- Maintain precise documentation and digital records of site inspections and tree health history.
- Advise clients and stakeholders on safety protocols, including tree risk assessment and hazard mitigation.
- Collaborate with landscape crews to ensure high-quality delivery of project specifications.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, or a related field.
- Relevant certification (e.g., ISA Certified Arborist) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in landscape maintenance or arboriculture operations.
- Strong knowledge of local plant species, soil science, and pest management techniques.
- Ability to operate arboricultural equipment safely and effectively.
- Proficient in technical reporting and identifying safety hazards in high-traffic urban areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in outdoor environments.
- Valid driving license is an added advantage.
