Join A'Famosa Group as an Assistant - Account AR and AP. This full time role is based in Alor Gajah, Melaka and offers a competitive monthly salary of RM 1,800 – RM 2,200. You will support the accounting team with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, data entry, invoicing, and vendor payment processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
In this role you will help maintain clean financial records, reconcile supplier and customer statements, and assist with monthly closings. You will collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and uphold internal controls. Responsibilities
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Prepare and post invoices, issue statements, and reconcile customer accounts.
- Verify and match supplier invoices with purchase orders; resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist with vendor setup, maintenance, and timely payment processing.
- Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records; ensure data integrity and privacy.
- Assist with daily cash and bank reconciliations and petty cash management as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with AR/AP processes and basic bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with accounting software/ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy; good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Malay; ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Previous internship or work experience in accounting is advantageous.
