A'Famosa Group is seeking a detailâoriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. In this contract role, you will support the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. You will work closely with the senior accountant to maintain the integrity of the companyâs financial data, assist with monthâend reporting, and ensure compliance with local tax and statutory regulations.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile AP and AR transactions accurately.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in accordance with company policies.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in monthâend close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain organized financial documents and filing systems.
- Support the preparation of management reports and basic financial statements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment queries.
- Adhere to Malaysian tax and statutory requirements throughout all processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (fresh graduates welcome).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks, or Sage is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations (GST, SST) is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
