Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and the monthly close process.
  • Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with MFRS, statutory reporting, and internal control policies; support statutory audits and internal audits as needed.
  • Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and drive business performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance; prior supervisory exposure is a plus.
  • Professional certification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and time-management skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.
