Job Description

Koruna Assist Back Office Solution Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized AU Accounting Assistant to join our growing team. This is a project-based, permanent work-from-home position with a fixed day shift (7 AM - 4 PM) and weekends off. You will support Australian clients with accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial records. As an integral part of our back office solutions, you will handle data entry, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and assist with month-end close processes. We offer a stable work schedule, collaborative remote culture, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Communicate with Australian clients via email and phone to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
  • Support senior accountants with ad-hoc tasks and audit preparations.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably with AU clients.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet home office setup.
